I was delighted to have won the photo contest for the CAPTAIN’S SEASIDE GUIDE. My husband, Tom and daughter, Danielle and I flew to Tortola and stayed at the Lambert Beach Resort. Our lovely villa faced the beach and provided us with a superb view of the ocean.

The folks there are very hospitable. Everyone we talked to, natives and travelers, were friendly and helpful. We have taken vacations to many islands but never to these. The British Virgin Islands are the prettiest and most majestic islands we’ve seen; an unspoiled place where the mountains meet the sea! The dining, water sports and natural beauty are outstanding. We visited Virgin Gorda to see The Baths, then chartered a catamaran and snorkeled around Norman Island. Later we went swimming with the dolphins in Road Town. At week’s end we wound down by taking a ferry to Marina Cay; a perfect ending to our vacation. All in all, it was an unforgettable holiday for us and I know we will return.
