In a way, Portland is a world apart from
the rest of Maine. Yet there are still parts
of this rising city that call to mind visions
of what most of us think of when we hear the
words “coast of Maine.”
Upon arriving in Portland, go to the outskirts of the city, to South Portland
and make Portland Head Lighthouse your destination.
